Professor of fluid mechanics
Centrale Méditerranée - IRPHE CNRS UMR 7342
I am currently Professor of fluid mechanics at Centrale Méditerranée and I carry my research activities at the IRPHE lab.
Since 2014 I am the Unesco UniTwin 651 chairholder. UniTwin networks are networks of higher education institutions wishing to cooperate around the objectives promoted by Unesco. Our network is the Mediterranean network of engineering and management schools and faculties founded by Centrale Méditerranée in 1997.
I teach mainly fluid mechanics at Centrale Marseille but also CFD and biomechanics. Since 2018 I am responsible of the Master of Science and technology in Complex Systems Engineering
My research activities address fluid mechanics and biomechanical issues, like:
- Aquatic propulsion with flexible/rigid oscillating fins
- Air pollution
- Aerosol transport and deposition in the upper airway
- Multiphysical couplings and, more particularly, transport phenomena within biological tissues
